It's a Party!!
We had a joint birthday party at the house yesterday- a lot of kids but we did it. Thank goodness the weather cooperated- we sent the kids outside for the first 45 minutes. Between playing outside, playing the Wii, eating pizza, chicken strips, and cake, opening presents, and giving out goodie bags there was a lot of action here. Here's a few shots...
A lot of kids=difficult to get a good picture

Second Grade Rocks!
So on Friday, I took the day off and hung out in Tyler's classroom. It was show and share, so we took Jake the leopard gecko. He was a hit- the kids couldn't stop looking at him and asking questins about his tail (Tyler had shared the story of the tail coming off). His class had earned a reward party, so the afternoon was spent watching "How to Train Your Dragon" and making viking hats and paper dragons. I forgot how much fun (and work for the teacher) 2nd grade is. Here's a few shots-
Cool Viking Hat
His friend Daryn
Mallory (I think he has a crush on her- but who wouldn't- she's adorable)
Buck
Sierra
Mikenzie
Sam
Mrs. Cain (dressed as a Viking for the party)
After school we took the kids to Red Robin in Kennewick for a birthday dinner (free ice cream- yes!) and a movie- Megamind 3D. The kids were great and had a blast. These shots are from Red Robin.
Halloween
Pretty pathetic when you only get one picture of your
kids dressed up....so here it is....

Family Trip to Portland
Bon, Shelley, Kelly, and I took a short trip down to Portland. We had a great lunch at St. Honore's, a walk down 23rd checking out the shops, stayed at the Mark Spencer, had dinner at Habibi's, and breakfast at Mother's Bistro. It was a fast but great weekend- good company and lots of laughs and memories.

Tyler's School Pictures
Here are Tyler's school pictures for this year....not bad for a kid who's impossible to make smile unless you make him laugh.

Carving Pumpkins
It's that time again....the carving of the pumpkins. Tyler and Ella get pretty excited for this- waiting until after dinner was painful...for all of us. :) Here's a few shots of the mayhem.

The (rainy) Pumpkin Patch
Okay, I think we picked the worst possible day to head to the pumpkin patch. As soon as we opened the car doors at Bellinger Farms, it started raining. But the nice thing about kids...they didn't even care. I think we were more concerned about the rain than they were. Here's a few pics from our adventure.
As soon as we changd the calendar to October, the kids made us get out the Halloween decorations. So now, between the decorations, the pumpkins, and the costumes in the mail, we are ready for Hallowen.
